Two Face Pizza & Taproom

Feel like chilling down with an ice cooling beer and ask my friends if anyone is keen. My friend introduced his frequent beer place, Two Face Pizza and Taproom.

Why the name Two Face? While in the day, it is a typical kopitiam. However, this place transforms to a chic place for dinner and beer in the evening. Kinda cool huh. Let's take a look at the menu for some tasty food!

This is a really sinful dinner. Cold Sapporo beer one pint - $8.00. The usual wings and fries combo for my starter. Spicy Buffulo Wings (6 half pieces) - $8.00. Comes with 2 sticks of celery and sauce. Truffle fries - $10.00. Typical taste with cheese powder.

Tried their signature drink make of cai xing (chinese vegetable), pineapple juice and sour plum. The taste is rather good, although at first I was sceptical how it would taste with cai xing. Two Face Signature Drink - $4.00.

The Caesar Salad is great with the sauce. What make it so delicious is the grilled chicken. Each mouthful is rather crunchiliously good.

My friend took Carbonara - $14.00. Steal a spoonful and a bacon. Creamy with bacon-salty goodness. He finished every bits of it.

I choose their Beef Pasta - $20.00. The beef is really fresh and juicy. Basically a steak of beef chopped into cubes. Combo with the tomatoe pasta, wow, I really enjoyed this dish.

My friend wasn't feeling satisfy. Hence we decided to get a pizza to share. Lazy to choose, we got the chef recommendation, Smoked Duck Pizza - $18.00. This pizza is fantastic. Each slice is topped with a slice of juicy smoked duck, grilled garlic to its softness, fresh arugula and tasty black truffle mayo. A must try!

You have to order at the counter and paid on the spot. No GST and no service charges. That to say, they only accept cash or NETS. Don't go down with a credit card and an empty wallet. The place is non-aircon, but the place is not that warm with fans. Drink more icy Sapporo to cool yourself down. We went on a Thursday night. The place was packed when the night falls; many regulars I guess. The washroom is by the alley at the back, you could pay a visit to their kitchen when you want to wash your hands or take a leak.

Relish by Wild Rocket (Burger hopping)

My first burger hopping stop, Relish by Wild Rocket. Went there for dinner and checked in at around 6pm on a weekend. Surprising, the restaurant is not crowded at all.

The ambience is great for a lazy chill with a book; even better for a catch up with friends. This restaurant is located at myVillage at Serangoon Garden.

I got a seat by the side. Enjoying the view through the glass panel while browsing the menu. While doing so I spotted my seat has power sockets. Hmm... This hit me that I could come here for remote working; remote work friendly place.

While waiting for my friend, I decide to get some finger food for starter.  Oh, plain water is free here.

Home made ice lemon tea with sugar syrup - ($4.50). I preferred this kind as I can dictate how sweet I like my lemon tea to be.

Parmesan wings at half a dozen - ($9.80). Come with 2 dips, blue cheese dip and spicy chicken rice style dip. The wings are already great without the dips. Worth a try.

White truffle fries - ($9.00). The favour and truffle sense with the nicely done fries. Any truffle fries fan will like this.

I got a Burger bench & bar with mixed sauté mushroom, cheese beef burger - ($16.40). Had it medium well done. The juicy beef patty stacked with mushroom, cheese and neatly shredded cabbage, made each mouthful utterly indulging. Sometimes, all we need is a simple and good burger.

My friend got the Wild Rocket Beef Burger - ($14.80). It is as good as it can be watching the burger savaged to the last bit.

We were super full then and decided to give the desserts a pass. If you have sweet tooth, be sure to check out their signature dessert, Strawberry Cheesecake - ($9.00). There are other main course if you prefer not to have burgers. Green curry seafood shepherd's pie - ($19.00) or Grilled pork chop - ($20.90). Bringing kids along? No worries, there are kids' menu too.
